Geographic Information Systems & Remote Sensing (GIS & RS)

The Department of Geography is the principal location of training in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing at Indiana University Bloomington. We offer a wide variety of programs designed to meet the needs of undergraduate and graduate students in this vital technical field. Options include:

  • A cognate area in GIS & RS (for students in the School of Informatics)
  • An undergraduate minor in GIS & RS
  • An undergraduate certificate in GIS & RS
  • A BA/BS in Geography with Transcripted Concentration in GIS & RS
  • A graduate certificate in GIS & RS
  • A Master’s of Science degree in GIS & RS
  • A PhD degree with Specialization in GIS & RS
