Dr. Sally Letsinger Will Study Future Water Supply and Demand in East-Central Indiana, USA

Thursday, September 1, 2022

Profile of Sally Letsinger

As part of the Indiana Finance Authority’s regional water studies program, Dr. Letsinger’s lab is conducting a study to improve the understanding of estimated future groundwater- and surface-water demand and availability within three watersheds in the Patoka-White River drainage basin in east-central Indiana. Questions that the study will investigate include: How much water is currently available? Where is the available water? How much water will be needed in 2072? Do we have enough water to meet anticipated water-supply needs? How will the spatial distribution of water resources change over the next 50 years?
