In the Department of Geography, we are fortunate to have many alumni and departmental friends that continue to be a part of our professional and personal lives. One of the ways we continue to connect with our alumni and friends is through our annual departmental awards for undergraduates and graduate students. These awards are the result of many generous contributions to the department that date back to the 1980s. At the end of every academic year, usually in April, the departmental awards are used to celebrate our outstanding undergraduate and graduate students at the annual awards banquet.

Support IU Geography
In addition to our donor-defined awards, we also welcome general fund donations. General fund donations give us the flexibility to develop new awards, such as the "Outstanding Senior in Geography Award" and "Alumni Associate Instructor Award." We also use general fund donations to sponsor valuable activities such as graduate and undergraduate student travel to professional conferences. All of these funds are administered by the Indiana University Foundation on behalf of the Department of Geography.
