Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a technology that integrates location and information data. Due to the innovative development of technology and interdisciplinary research, GIS helps us to understand our dynamically changing world related to ¿where,¿ ¿what,¿ ¿how,¿ and ¿when.¿ Consequently, GIS application has grown in various topics (e.g., nature, society, environmental change, decision-making in policy and business, etc.) and diverse sectors (e.g., government, private, academia, and NGOs). Throughout the semester, we will apply spatial analysis methods and mapping skills to real-world case studies with GIS data and up-to-date GIS software.
